The version of Martin Luther's Small Catechism that we use at Crosspointe has 306 questions for which answers are provided. The one & only question about confirmation itself (What is confirmation?) is the last one, question 306. Confirmation is a public rite of the church preceded by a period of instruction designed to help baptized Christians identify with the life & mission of the Christian community.
At Crosspointe, confirmation is a two year program that youth typically enter into during their 7th or 8th grade years.
It seeks to involve the whole family and the whole church to surround the youth with a supportive community that will affirm the work God began in baptism and promises to bring to fulfillment through His Son, Jesus Christ.
